Meet the Coach

Matthew Botha is a dedicated PGA Apprentice Coach and the newest member of the EduGolfKids team. Training under the guidance of his father, Mornè Botha—a PGA professional with over 25 years of experience—Matthew blends fresh energy with a strong family tradition of golf excellence.

With a background in competitive golf and experience as a caddie for a U.S. Kids Golf tournament player, Matthew understands the game from both a player’s and a coach’s perspective. He is passionate about teaching kids the fundamentals of golf while building focus, confidence, sportsmanship, and a love for the game.

As part of his PGA Associate Program, Matthew is completing coursework in youth physical development, golf safety, and inclusive coaching. He recently earned certification as an Adaptive Golf Coach through the U.S. Adaptive Golf Alliance, advancing human potential and promoting inclusion for all through the game of golf. Trained in child-centered instruction and positive reinforcement, he also ensures a safe, supportive environment for every student.

At EduGolfKids, Matthew brings golf directly to schools—providing all equipment and removing barriers so more children can discover the sport. His mission is simple: to inspire the next generation of golfers, both on and off the course.
